Terror In Talihina

Terror In Talihina – Part 1 details the shocking events which occurred in Talihina, Oklahoma on February 22, 2006.

It is the story of Julie Owens and her sons Steven, age 7, and Brian, age 8 and what happened to the boys at the hands of Talihina Elementary School Principal Angela Weaver, Talihina Police Chief Jack England and officer Brian Hibdon.

It is also the story of decent, honorable and concerned parents standing up for the rights of Julie Owens and her sons and demanding action be taken against those who violated the rights of not only the Owens family but other families in the community.

Terror In Talihina – Part 2 reveals the continued efforts of concerned parents to obtain justice for not only the Owens family but for several other families with grievances against Principal Weaver. It is also the story of the Talihina School Board’s action or more accurately inaction, in what some are calling a ‘cover up’ and a gross miscarriage of justice.

  1. We believe this Angela Weaver is now the superattendent at Indianola schools in Indianola ,Ok ..My question is how bad is this woman?

  2. Are things going well in Indianola? Have there been any problems with the Superintendent? I think some information from the end of “Terror in Talihina” may be on theokfourm.com under the schools section. Good Luck, hopefully things will go better in your district.

  3. No, things at Indianola are not going well. I have been attending Indianola for five years and am now a senior. Since I have been at Indianola we have had three different superintendants and Mrs. Weaver is my very least favorite. She never comes out of her office and has no relationship with her students. She canceled our senior homecoming parade because “the alumni didn’t want to do it.” When we asked the alumni they said that they had no idea about it. My mother is actually taking my younger brother and sister out of the school because of her.

  4. Also, there was a school board meeting last night to determine if she was to be rehired. All but four of our teachers and many parents were there to support the idea of firing her. The school board voted to keep her 3 to 1…

  5. It all sounds a bit familiar, from Howe to Talihina and now Indianola. Time will tell if the story will end the same.

  6. Today they just had an executive board meeting at indianola. they are voting on having her work from home, How stupid is that. i mean whats the point on being a superintendent at a school and not even show up for work, its pointless.

    I also attend this school.

  7. i am also a senior, i have been at this school since 8th grade. every superintendent we have had, always came out of their office. always interacted with their staff. but she wont even do that. then hearing about what she did at Talihina, makes you not want her at our school.

  8. well I just found out that some of the IEP Student files are missing. I have an IEP as well. and well my mom is worried that she might be doing this. not sure though, not saying this is true, but some of these are missing. but dont know if its her them out.
