About For The Record
One of the most controversial and praised or hated sections of Bubbaworld has long been the “For The Record” section in which we provided information on some of the many persons accused of sexually abusing Oklahoma Children.
In response to requests from many Bubbaworld readers we continue to provide the “For The Record” section, which provides info on those individuals arrested, charged, convicted or acquitted of child sexual abuse in Oklahoma.
The current version of ‘For The Record’ contains only basic information including name, age, hometown, offense and source from which we obtained the information. In all cases the source will be one or more news media outlets. We no longer reference court records, nor will we attempt to provide complete coverage from arrest through trial or the offense details, as we did in the original “For the Record” series since direct linking to court records is still difficult, if not impossible for many Oklahoma counties.
We are providing this coverage for one reason only, that being that it provides a ‘heads up’ to parents, grandparents and other concerned individuals who may have or know of a child, grandchild or friend that is or was exposed to a person accused of sexually abusing a child. This so that interested parties using various internet search engines might become aware of the situation and take appropriate action.
The current plan for the “For The Record” section is to maintain one year’s worth of references. As each new month’s report is added to the system the report for the same month in the previous year will be deleted, this since many of the news sources we reference maintain archives for only one year.
Readers of “For The Record” should always keep in mind that being accused of a crime does NOT mean one is guilty of a crime. Everyone is entitled to a presumption of innocence unless/until they have been found guilty in a court of law.

Remember, if you’re a homosexual child molestor, you can always always get a job as a Baptist Youth Minister in Oklahoma.

I applaud your efforts to help protect the children of Oklahoma if not the country. But I wish to inform you that being accused of sexual abuse doesn’t make one guilty.

In 1997, 1,054,000 children were confirmed by CPS as victims of child maltreatment. This, represents 15 out of 1000 U.S. children. This equals 33% of all reported cases of child abuse. This means 67% of all reported cases are false or unfounded. Still, these must e investigated resulting in a gross violation of privacy rights that , in essence, usurp parential prerogatives. Once, the children realize they can control their parents with such a report, their partental authority is undermined and the family is effectively destroyed.
People hve used the accusations of child abuse to as the above quote states to destroy families and to cause a grave harm to others.
A friendly request if you must report child abuse cases on your site, please make it only the cases that have been convicted so as not to further the destruction of a family.

Is sounds very disquieting to me.
Anybody can be accused of child abuse, anybody. There isn’t a culture or class of people where child abuse doesn’t happen or people that are being accused of it belong.
It is a very difficult decision as to whether to report alleged child sexual abuse versus only those convicted of sexually abusing a child. Twice during the time we originally ran the ‘For the Record’ series we heard from single Moms who were in relationships with men who were accused but not yet convicted of sexually abusing children and neither woman was aware of the allegations against the men. In one of those cases the alleged offender was already ‘coaxing’ the woman’s 12 year old daughter towards inappropriate activity. In the second instance there had apparently been no improper conduct on the man’s part. Both men were ultimately convicted, but many months after coming in contact with the two women and their children. Both women had discovered the men’s status from internet searchs listing our ‘For the Record’ section, one on the basis of the man’s name, the other on the basis of their hometown. Had we simply reported only those convicted, neither woman would have known to check into things and in one cases odds are another child would have been victimized.
Are people falsely accused of these horrible crimes? Certainly.
Are families shattered and lives ruined as a result? Certainly.
By the same token sex offenders sometimes victimize other children while out on bail awaiting trial on earlier offense. In a small town of a few hundred or a few thousand people odds are everyone would know of an alleged sexual predator in their midst. What’s the odds of that being the case is a city of 150,000, 400,000 or half-a-million?
being a victim of one the the men in your november 2004 for the record, i think that it’s great to see his name list on here. it just confirms the horror of everything we went through to get him where he belongs. it’s like yelling out I’M FREE after almost 25 years of hiding it!
