The Five Districts Attorney
Previously on Bubbaworld we ran a series of editorials regarding five districts attorney, four of which faced challengers in their respective party’s primary elections. We did not endorse candidates but rather offered reasons that these five incumbents should be defeated.
The following is the scorecard thus far:
Tim Harris – District 14 incumbent (Tulsa County) won the primary on July 25 and the office of district attorney for the next 4 years as he has no opponent in the November general election.
Farley Ward – District 16 incumbent (Latimer and LeFlore Counties) was defeated by Jeff Smith who won the office of district attorney in the July 25 primary as he has no opponent in the November general election.
Virginia Sanders – District 17 incumbent (Choctaw, McCurtain and Pushmataha Counties) forced into August 22 run-off where she was defeated by Laura Ross Wallis who won the office of district attorney as she has no opponent in the November general election.
Richard Gray – District 27 incumbent (Adair, Cherokee, Sequoyah and Wagoner Counties) was forced into August 22 run-off and defeated by Jerry S. Moore who will face Brian Kuester in the November general election.
Three of the four districts attorney we at Bubbaworld urged voters to defeat in the primary and run-off elections were defeated. The outcome of the fifth race will not be known until the general election in November.
We continue to urge the defeat of Wes Lane in the general election.
