The Shame of Snyder Oklahoma
Recently residents of Snyder, Oklahoma discovered to their chagrin that nudity actually exists in their small community of about 1,500 souls, 8 churches and nary a bar. Not only were they horrified to discover the existence of nudity in their town, they also discovered the internet and horror or horrors; pornographic web sites.
To make matters worse it turns out that the ‘local porn queen’ is none other than Doris Ozmun, the wife of Snyder, OK police chief Tod Ozmun. Apparently Snyder residents either download the ‘nudie pictures’ themselves or after frantic searching managed to find someone that had done so and as a result the porn queen pictures were passed around town.
Needless to say the collective ‘pucker factor’ in Snyder, Oklahoma went right off the scale, with the town’s preachers breaking into hell-fire-and-damnation sermons, the local busy bodies suffering a massive outbreak of ’strained tongue’ from all the gossiping and the general populace demanding that at the minimum the chief and his wife be run out of town. Probably on a rail, while wearing matching outfits of tar and feathers.
Were not this situation so sad, it would be hilarious.
In spite of all the feigned piety of Snyder, Oklahoma it is obvious that there are some besides Doris Ozmum living in Snyder, OK that are ‘into’ internet porn.
Otherwise, Doris Ozmun’s web site would not have been discovered and brought to the attention of the mob which is now demanding that her husband be fired. Equally obvious is the attention the ‘nudie pictures’ have generated in Snyder. The last thing anyone truly offended by pornography is going to do is seek it out, either on the web or by asking around town for ‘who has copies’.
To the folks in Snyder, Oklahoma you do have a problem.
But it’s not with the ‘porn queen’ or her husband.
The real problem resides within the hearts of each and every one of you that just ‘had to see for yourself’.
Shame on you.
