When Is A Boy Not A Boy
Editor’s Note: At Bubbaworld we have covered some of the weirdest of the weird of, in and about Oklahoma. But this story shocked even us.
Meet Da’ Boyz

From top left to bottom right, Neil Havens Rodreick II, age 29, Brian J. Nellis, age 34, Robert James Snow, age 43 and ‘Grandpa’ Lonnie Stiffler, age 61.
Rodreick and Nellis are sex offenders from Oklahoma. Rodreick was convicted of ‘Lewd And Indecent Proposal To Minor’ in Grady County, in 1996 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, however he was released in 2002. Nellis was convicted of ‘Lewd Molestation’ and ‘Lewd Or Indecent Proposals/Acts To Child’ in Kay County in 1997, was sentenced to 7 years in prison and 8 years probation, however he was released from prison in 2000.
Reportedly, at one time Rodreick and Nellis were cellmates. Their Oklahoma Department of Corrections records are available as follows: Rodreick’s Records and Nellis’ Records
Snow is reportedly also a sex offender, who like Rodreick and Nellis apparently failed to register with Arizona authorities. Apparently ‘Grandpa’ Stiffler isn’t a convicted sex offender in the purest sense, but he apparently wants to be a child molester.
This weird quartet came to the attention of authorities when ‘Grandpa’ Lonnie Stiffler attempted to register his 12 year-old ‘grandson’, Casey Price at a charter school in Chino Valley, about 90 miles northwest of Phoenix. School administrators called the cops and the ruse was busted wide open. The 12 year-old grandson was in reality 29 year-old Neil Havens Rodreick II.
It turns out that investigators discovered that ‘Grandpa’ Stiffler and Snow had contacted ‘Casey Price’ two years earlier in an internet chat room, traveled to Oklahoma where they met the ‘boy’ in a motel room and ultimately took him back to live with them in Arizona, actually believing that Neil Havens Rodreick II was a then 10 year-old boy by the name of ‘Casey Price’.
The sexual relationship between Stiffler and Snow and the ‘boy’ Casey Price went on for two years and never the once did the men catch on that their ‘boy’ was shaving his body hair and using makeup to conceal the fact he was a man in his late 20’s.
Arizona authorities suspect that the purpose behind enrolling ‘the boy’ in school was an attempt to troll for other young boys. Authorities also suspect that the Stiffler and Snow have enrolled ‘the boy’ in other schools previously although they have not yet been able to determine if he actually attended those schools.
As a result of the ruse all four men have been arrested. Stiffler was booked on counts of forgery and hindering prosecution and was being held on $100,000 bond. Each of the three others was being held on $50,000 bond on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
Media reports quote law enforcement personnel as stating that Stiffler and Snow became dismayed and angry when they learned that they had been “conned” into having sex with a grown man while thinking they were having sex with a pre-teen boy.
Commentary and Opinion
Sure enough, this weird quartet is cause for a bit of laughter at their expense. Especially in light of the fact that two ‘dirty old men’ seeking a ‘hot young boy’ ended up instead with another pervert that conned them for an entire two years, convincing them he was a pre-teen boy.
It is somewhat easy to write off of ‘Grandpa’ Lonnie Stiffler and Robert James Snow as a couple of idiots, so dumb and blind that they could not differentiate between a pre-teen boy and a man in his late 20’s. However, that they thought they were molesting a pre-teen boy is testimony of their criminal intent and evil minds.
Facts are that three of these men have criminal records involving the sexual abuse of very real children. The fourth, “Grandpa Stiffler” although not a convicted child molester, evidently wishes to molest children, especially young boys.
Hopefully, by the time these guys get out of prison, the mugshot of 29 year-old Neil Havens Rodreick II will look like that of 61 year-old Lonnie Stiffler, but don’t count on it unless Arizona’s criminal justice system is a lot more efficient than Oklahoma’s, where both Rodreick and Nellis were released well before their sentences were completed.
Try as we might, we have been unable to determine how Brian J. Nellis came into the picture or what role he played in the weird quartet other than being a kindred spirit child molester and one with whom Rodreick evidently shared a cell in Oklahoma. One can only assume that Rodreick brought him into the fold after ‘hooking up’ with Snow and Stiffler. With his beard being a dead-bang give away even Snow and Stiffler aren’t dumb or blind enough to believe that Nellis was also a pre-teen. His function in the weird quartet remains a mystery.
