Gore Mayor Busted For DUI

Gore, OK Mayor Mike Kinnear

Gore, OK Mayor Mike Kinnear, 55, was arrested on an DUI charge last Wednesday night by the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Department.

According to Sequoyah County Sheriff Johnny Philpot, Kinnear was arrested in Gore at approximately 7:45 pm on April 4th. Sheriff Philpot alleges that one of his off-duty deputies previously witnessed Kinnear come into the Gore Police Department with an open beer and then leave in his vehicle.

The Sheriff indicated that although his department doesn’t usually work traffic, that he told his deputies that if they caught Kinnear drinking and driving in the future to arrest him.

Kinnear was given a breathalyzer test which allegedly indicated his blood alcohol content was .09, which is over the .08 legal limit and he was booked into the county jail in Sallisaw.

Currently Kinnear remains Mayor of Gore, OK.

  2. Yes that *was* the mayor of Gore, OK.

    He resigned a week or so after his arrest.
