On Sunday, July 1st the Oklahoman published a report titled “Secret report rips DHS”.
How the Oklahoman reporters got their hands on this confidential report does not matter. What does matter is that they did obtain it and the paper published it.
And most important of all, you need to read it.

Within the article are links to the 33 page confidential report from the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth which details the numerous systemic failings that led to the death of Kelsey Briggs. The report is broken into four sections and is in ‘PDF format’, meaning one must have the Adobe Acrobat reader installed on their computer to view it.
It would be in the best interest of all Oklahomans to read both the Oklahoman article and the confidential report in its entirety for it exposes not only where the DHS and others failed Kelsey Briggs it reveals how inept, corrupt and misguided Oklahoma’s child welfare system truly is.
