Lookin’ For Love

Allegedly Randall Lynn Bookout, 47, of Dora, Alabama was lookin’ for love in the wrong place. Specifically at Love’s in Chouteau, Oklahoma.

Bookout was busted after allegedly making a deal with two undercover officers to have sex with a female officer for $40.

Evidently three Mayes County Sheriff’s officers were working a drug sting at Love’s convenience store in Chouteau and came into contact with Bookout as a result.

Also evidently, they tried to sell drugs to Bookout who apparently refused their drug offers but allegedly did ask if the officers could fix him up with a woman.

After making the deal to pay $40 to have sex with the undercover female officer Bookout was busted, taken to the Mayes County Jail and eventually released on $2,500 bond.

While this incident is probably humorous to just about everyone but Mr. Bookout there’s just something about this story that either isn’t correct as published in “The Daily Times” or there’s something real dirty going on in the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office.

Here’s an exact quote from the article, a link to which is provided below:

The officers were attempting to catch people making drug deals, but ended up arresting Bookout for prostitution.

Bookout was approached to purchase drugs, but refused the drugs and asked if the officers could fix him up with a woman.

The key is the final sentence quoted above, “Bookout was approached to purchase drugs, but refused the drugs and asked if the officers could fix him up with a woman.”

Since when do law enforcement officers TRY to sell drugs by approaching individuals at random?

Granted if Bookout actually solicited prostitution that is a crime but the very idea of law enforcement officers walking up to someone at random and saying “Wanna’ buy some drugs?” is way, way out of line.

Either the writer of the report got it wrong somehow, or there’s something very wrong at the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office.

Which is it?

  1. It is called a reverse sting, happens all of the time… Don’t buy dope especially from someone you don’t know….it is illegal

  2. I realize it is illegal, though WHY it’s illegal I’m not sure. I know many consider it to be a morally bad thing, but in this economy you would think the cops would lighten up a little. Everyone’s laying off workers, and many of these women are really struggling to pay their bills. If they were selling dope or even sex to kids then I can understand it.
Isn’t it strange. A woman, or man for that matter can legally get paid to give massages, clean houses, dance around a pole or style hair, but consensual sex for money is a no no?

  3. I wish the could get all drugs off the street, but if Mr. Bookout had purchased the drugs should not the officers also face charges of selling drugs? Since when is it right for officers to do wrong to bring about right?
