His Own Worst Enemy
Richard Roberts may well be his own worst enemy.
Roberts has certainly done himself no favors with his recent public statements regarding his stewardship of Oral Roberts University or the scandal that is washing over both the university and Roberts himself.
And there appears to be no end to the double-talk and hype, as Richard Roberts has now announced a “prophecy”, albeit one supposedly on the part of some unnamed out-of-state minister. A “prophecy” that Roberts would go through a “major storm” in his 60th year of life but would “come through it”.
Gimme’ a break…
All we need now is another 900-foot-tall Jesus wandering the campus of ORU decreeing that Richard Roberts must remain the President and CEO of ORU or otherwise God will strike Oral Roberts dead, as he supposedly threatened to do a few years ago.
Rather than re-hashing recent news reports, I’ll simply provide some links and encourage folks to read for themselves and then ask themselves, “Is it any wonder than ORU is on the verge of collapse, both moral and economic?”
