Forgetful Or What?

Every year most of us go through a required ritual; filing tax returns.
But not all of us do so.
And now we know five such individuals and oddly enough they are all members of the Oklahoma Legislature.

Jeff McMahan and Lori McMahan Indicted

Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector Jeff McMahan and his wife Lori McMahan have been indicted by a federal grand jury on nine felony counts involving conspiracy, fraud and racketeering.

Federal prosecutors allege that the McMahans received cash, other items of value, supplies and straw donor contributions far exceeding the amount limited by law.

Washington County Treasurer Stan Stevens Busted

Washington County Treasurer Stanley Allen Stevens, 51, was arrested on drug charges around 11 p.m. Friday January 11th at the home of County Commission Secretary Kodi Ferguson.

Stevens was booked into jail initially on complaints of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Real Friendly Jailer

Billie Lee Pelley, 20, has seen the bars of the Okfuskee County Jail from both sides now.
This after her recent arrest on allegations that she, while an Okfuskee County Jailer, performed oral sex on 37-year-old Bobby Mann, an inmate who is awaiting trial on a felony bomb threat charge.
