Welcome to the Bubbaworld News Headlines Page

Oklahoma Lottery News

News headline feeds from around the state of Oklahoma are provided as a public service to our readers by Bubbaworld.

In order to read to read the news headlines it is necessary that your web browser have ‘Javascript’ enable and ‘iframes’ permitted. If you do not know what either of those are, try reading the headlines and if it works there is no need to worry. If it does not work for you, then see our ‘News Help’ file for assistance.

Daily news headlines on our site are provided using a fully automated system of RSS feeds from several news sources located throughout Oklahoma.

The individual feeds are compiled into final form using a service called ‘RSS-Include’.

Both the raw feeds and the ‘RSS-Include’ service are external to Bubbaworld and therefore we have no control over them, nor the ability to fix them if they cease to function

Problems anywhere along the line between the news media site, the RSS-Include site and Bubbaworld will result in the loss of one or more of the individual feeds.

These automated news headline feeds use what are called iframes to generate the news headlines on the fly, updating them automatically when the news publisher updates their news feed.

If you are unable to view ANY of the news feeds, that indicates a failure has occurred at ‘RSS-Include’ or one of more of the options in your current web browser are set to block ‘iframes’ in general or from Bubbaworld in particular.

If the failure is with ‘RSS-Include’ it should be resolved shortly, so you may wish to try again later. If the problem lies with your browser’s security setting you will need to change your internet options to permit Javascript and iframes from the Bubbaworld site in order to see the news headlines.

The individual feeds are themselves highly variable both in content and frequency of updates.

Some of the news media outlets provide only a ‘headline’ in their RSS feeds. Other’s provide both a ‘headline’ and a brief ’snippet’ of the actual report. What shows up in the RSS feed is determined by the news source and not Bubbaworld.

The vast majority of our automated news feeds are ’single sourced’ from a specific city or county. The two exceptions are Oklahoma’s largest cities, Oklahoma City and Tulsa. We are providing multiple feeds from both cities, three from Oklahoma City and five from Tulsa. These large feeds require the use of multiple display boxes and attendant ’scroll bars’ to keep the page size reasonable for easy viewing. Throughout our news headlines section the appearance of ’scroll bars’ within a news headline display notifies the reader that more content is available by scrolling.

Clicking on any news headline throughout our news section will result in a new browser window being open and the news item being displayed. All news links/headlines provided by Bubbaworld are to web sites external to Bubbaworld. This site merely acts a handy references to links to news reports that may be of interest to our readers. The inclusion of any link on Bubbaworld to an external site does not constitute an endorsement of that site. Bubbaworld is simply making it easy for our readers to skim the news headlines from outside sources and to read those news report if desired.
